The Getting Better Foundation is proud to celebrate Rosemary Smith as the first honoree in Action for Media Education’s new Media Literacy Champion initiative, recognizing Washington educators and community leaders who are advancing media literacy in powerful and innovative ways.

Rosemary, a Washington resident, has helped lead the Getting Better Foundation’s work to expand public understanding of misinformation, media trust, and civic engagement. Under her leadership as Managing Director, the Foundation’s documentary Trust Me gained international recognition following its 2020 release, with screenings at conferences around the world and major honors including the Walter Cronkite Excellence in Journalism Award and UNESCO’s Media Literacy Award for North America.
